At Nethost your data security is a high priority for us, as such we are being pro-active with our compliance with EU regulations on Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) which aims to prevent card fraud and we aim to be fully compliant before the deadline. This is, however, dependent on suppliers and as a result we may have to amend the available payment methods if we cannot verify our payment processors are compliant themselves.
If you pay by card we may have to make separate payment arrangements with you if our payment processor is not compliant by the time the new regulations take force. We do not foresee this happening, but have to be pro-active and ensure we have a plan in place prior to this. We also accept payments via Direct Debit, BACS transfer, and PayPal so should the card processor not be compliant by our internal deadline of August 1st 2019 we will get in touch to handle switching you over to a compliant payment method.
